Freezeree
January 16-17, 2016
Our January Trip is some good ole' cold weather camping at Camp Tuscarora. We will work on a conservation project for those needing Camping merit badge. We will also practice knot tying and lashings. So....practice your knot tying and lashing skills
We will meet Saturday morning (January 15) at the scout hut 7:45 am and leave 8:00 am. Don't forget to bring your permission form.
We will be staying in the adirondacks on the back side of the lake. We will be back to the Scout Hut late morning on Sunday.
This is a patrol camping and cooking trip. Patrols will plan their menu, purchase their food and cook as a patrol. Patrol leaders will decide food cost and collect money from their patrol at Tuesday’s meeting January 12 before the trip that weekend. Patrols will select who is buying food and who is taking food to the trip. Everyone should plan on eating supper before we go or brown bag supper for when we get there. Patrols will cook breakfast, lunch and dinner for Saturday and breakfast for Sunday. There is no trip cost for scouts. Scouts only have to pay for their patrol food.
Adults will cook as a group. Trip cost for adults is $10.
