This is a patrol cooking camp out. All patrols will buy and bring their own food. Patrols will cook meals for Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner and Sunday breakfast. Patrols will plan their menu and assign who will buy their food.
There is a “Fall Living History Program” that weekend. We can explore the demonstration area as Living Historians from the "Stories Beyond the Battlefield" Living History Program demonstrate Colonial crafts and trades such as Blacksmithing, Candle making, Spinning, Gardening, Cooking, and much more. Visitors can view live demonstrations and interact with Living Historians as they bring history back to life. They will also have a Naturalization Oath Ceremony that Saturday. We will watch people complete the process of becoming a U.S. citizen.
We will meet 4:00pm at the scout hut Friday, Sept. 18 and depart at 4:30pm. We should be home around 12:00pm Sunday. Bring enough money to eat on the road Friday night and to stop at a store on the way home Sunday.
